South Paso Chevron, after picking up the Westy with a new 2.3L high-compression engine from GoWesty. They recommend premium gas for these engines. GoWesty filled the tank to about 3/4, so I won't know the initial mpg until the next fill-up. Anyway, it'll be screwy for awhile, due to the break-in procedures. The odometer at this fill-up was 114,420.

Odometer: 113,743. Filled up after driving to Napa on freeways. Plus some of these miles are driving around on surface streets on the peninsula.

Since the last fuel-up, the Westy was in the shop for a few days. That always seems to reduce the mileage: Test drives? Idling? Wishful thinking? Anyway, a new, higher-compression engine is on order, so we'll see.
