The mileage from this tank was all mountain driving with interstate mixed in. The weekend was spent in the Catskills and I was the taxi back and forth from the rental condo to Mt Jam for the tunes! So, I'm guessing the mileage won't be stellar!

I don't like the "City driving %" thing! If you're going to monitor that why not monitor rural highway driving, which is far better for saving fuel and an interstate which is not much better than city...

I had Rich at LCG do a 50,000 mile service at 47,096. I also had the tranny oil changed.

I thought about the precipitous fall in mileage earlier this week, may be due in part to the fact that I had an attendant fill up the previous tank and he probably stopped when it clicked off. I usually fill it more. Just a thought. The mileage seems to be back to normal. But there were two days that I was getting atrocious (38-39) mileage and still can't quite figure it out.

Added about 5 pounds of air to each tire... should have checked them when I put them on but they looked ok and the stupid dash light didn't indicate. Also, drove a couple of days with multiple passengers and for some reason it wasn't getting the fuel mileage I thought it should have been... still not certain what was up, we'll see how the added air in the tires (about 41 pounds) does.

The first 50 miles or so of this tank I still had winter tires on. Winter tires now have 13,657 miles on them. Summers went on at 45357. And the summers are actually All Season Hankooks that came on the care, which are going to be changed out sometime in the near future. There is still tread left but it is getting down there a bit, they now have 32,202 on them. I will switch them out for some good summer tires and hopefully improve my mileage.

The roller coaster of temperatures continues... 3 degrees for the ride in this morning! But it was in the 30s yesterday and expected to hit them again today, with lows overnight in the single digits again!....

40,000 mile service done today. Part of the service is changing the fuel filter and so there was proably a little bit of fuel loss to that... also had to add 5 lbs of air to each of the tires so hopefully the mileage will increase a little in the future. I did the fuel up right after the service so we'll see...

Really cold weather. Coming in to work today (12-10-10) the temp never got out of the single digits and the mileage took a pretty significant hit, only about 44.5 mpg... I normally get 51-53 mpg on the way in to work... Winter is here!

Most of this tank is very short ( less than ten miles) trips. Hunting season is here so lots of short in town driving.
