11/1/12 - 239,109 miles: Stage 3 Malone Tune with EGR delete done by Matt. Replaced vacuum lines for turbo. 11/8/12 - 239,450 miles: Replaced motor oil at 240K. 11/9/12 - 239,470 miles: replaced gear oil. Diesel Purge treatment. 239,482 miles: replaced fuel lines (injector pump & injectors). For Vegas - Used Howes Diesel Treat and Power Kleaner.

Driven from Encino to Santa Maria, and then back. Stage 3 Malone Tune was performed at Santa Maria, now at 134hp, 235lb-ft, with EGR delete. Also, changed vacuum hoses for turbo.

Strange noise coming from the engine on the last 20 miles or so, the noise would go up and down with the engine as it was revving. Towards the end, when the engine was started, a belt started to scream, something went pop (I even felt it), and I shut the engine down immediately. I inspected the accessory belt, and timing belt, everything was tight and there seemed to be no damage. I started the engine back up and the sound was gone.

0301: From Encino, to San Francisco, to Lost Hills (AKA middle of nowhere). The A/C was on the about 75% of the drive up to SF, and maintained about 85 mph. The drive back from SF, to Lost Hills was about 95 mph most of the way.

EGR cooler deleted, plastic intake pipe replaced, heat from the open EGR pipe caused some wires to melt together and had to tape them and a fuse was blown because of it, need to replace vacuum pipe and hoses. Power is back, car runs well.
