142,726km. Fuel up in Geraldine after trip down to Fairlie, to meet the ROCC for a pie then out to Pleasant Point and cross country for a night at the Farmyard camp site, near Orari. A nice run in the sun on the way down, lovely trip, quiet roads.

142098km total. Poor old MR2 has been left idle for a while, gatherig dust in the garage. Got a WoF on 14th - sailed through, so taking it up towards Waipara for a run today (15th Jan 2022)

141,921km. Fuel up after ROCC trip, a long and slow trip back from Cromwell - Travelling back on Easter Monday, bad idea. Long tailbacks through Lindis pass, along SH8 to Tekapo, and Fairlie, and Geraldine, then a really slow piece through Tinwald and Ashburton. 10:30 am to 6pm for a 350(ish) km trip. Meh! Car ran perfectly, smooth and comfortable, solid water temperature, and oil pressure. Roof off all the way home. Fantastic

Fuel up at start of Day 2 of ROCCCentral Otago Easter trip. Cruise down the coast and SH1 from Techemakers to Palmerston. Fuel up car and us (mutton pie for breakfast), much better weather and cruise up the 'Pig Root' to Alexandra via Hamptons Engineering and other places

Fuel up at start of Random Old Car Club Easter Tour to Central Otago. Day 1 Rolly to Oamaru, then on to Techemakers Hotel for the night. Busy road (stopped at stages near Raikia - put the roof on, and Ashvegas - stopped for lunch) on the way south, rain Dunsandel to Ashburton. Car ran great

140800km - on way back after passing WOF. Just a wee hoon to warm up the gearbox and brakes. Such a lovely car to drive. NB - Allied 2.08/l, NPD 2.13/l - BP still don't display the price for 98....

140,548km total. After a clean and re-aligning the right side headlamp cover - fiddly. A really clean 633 BMW beside me at the pumps - BARRNS rego. Wee fang around the back roads in the very windy conditions

Challenge Lincoln - Orange light came on at Tai Tapu on way back from Fang up to Hilltop. Garage in Tai tapu closed, so easy cruise 6km to Lincoln. Service, Gearbox oil change and WoF last week, so a nice fang to celebrate. Total - 140,545km

Fuel up ahead of the Covid-19 lockdown (in case I need to go for a fang). Total km's - 140237km Not a lot of driving since the trip to Banks Penninsula last October, but there was a trip to see some racing at levels and the odd fang over Gebbies (now a 60 zone). Fuel price way down - $1.859/l for 95 less 12c/l discount - $1.74/l whoo whoooo

Fill up at BP couple of days after the Labour Weekend run. 139973 km total - 17km away for 140k, which makes me think that I must make sure that is what is on the speedo when it hits 140k ;-)

233.9km, 139,395km o/all. A week of commuting into work, school holidays and parking in the basement. Gearbox 1-2 shift a pain until it warms up, then it is silky. No diff chatter though.

Fill up in Oamaru, after lovely drive up from Mosgil, lunch at scotts and wander around the Victorian precinct of Oamaru. Then dropping into Midway motel to say we weren't going to stay and would head for home. Home by 6:30 pm, take away curry from Corriander's - sooper. Roads very quiet, so an easy trip - stopped in Ashvegas BP for a cup of tea and break. Having a break was such a good idea.

136, 944km. Taken a while to get through this tank. A few fun blats around, out to Ruapuna for the Skope classic, a few Port Hill fangs, and a few sunny day drives with Laura, who has driven it a few times now and is getting more confident. And while Andy Casson, on his and Derryn's visit to NZ in February. He enjoyed it, but I think he likes his Boxster more.

Easter road trip to Twizel, Alexandra and Wanaka. BP98, 17.13l, $38.19, 2.23c/l - Rolleston, top up before go. Mobil 95, 21.69l, $45.32, 2.09c/l - Twizel, fill up morning after drive down in rain. Mobil 95, 30.28l, $63.26, 2.09c/l - Twizel, fill up on return, after trip to Tarras, Cromwell, Alexandra, Wanaka and back, dry driving and wet overnight. BP98, 20.92l, $45.37, 2.17c/l - Rolly, fill up after cruise back from Twizel in Easter Monday traffic, overcast but nice.

Added fuel injection cleaner, no noticable difference in running. Mostly short trips and blats in the hills, plus a couple of runs out to Ruapuna, and even a couple of trips into work - when the traffic was light.

20c/litre discount voucher. Mr2 not used over winter, tidying up and reparing the cockpit black plastic trim, and minor fettling. After wof on 29th Oct, had some local fanging around (Tai Tapu and out to aTeddington) and drive out to Hororata highland games with Laura 5th Nov. Also put fuel injection system cleaner in tank.

Included a trip to muscle car madness in Rangiora (30 degree plus day) and a seriously good fang up and across the Port Hills with a VW R32 - he was braver around the blind bends then me, but the MR2 was quicker on the long downhill and more visually open bits, not bad for a 29 old car :-)
