Seventh fuel up on SS1000 attempt. Night had fallen now. Had been through roadworks section on M6 at 50mph. Also, a few sections of 50mph on M5. The rest of the time had been highway speeds.

Fifth fuel up on SS1000 attempt. This was 95% highway riding at highway speeds. Temperature had dropped now and evening was coming.

Fourth fuel up on SS1000 attempt. A 13 mile stretch of 50mph probably helped with petrol consumption. Didn't intent to fuel up, but it was so much cheaper than on the motorway that I decided to grab whatever I could.

Second fuel up on SS1000 attempt. Quite a lot of slow riding (20-50mph) with occasionaly high speed bursts. Fuel at Knutsford was 55p per gallon more expensive than at Chorleywood. What a rip off!
