new iridium plugs fitted, Average ambient temp is around15C. Higher ambient seems to bring better economy possibly due to fuel injection ecu programming

warmer weather, steady traffic. Lower, lighter and more narrow handlebars seem to have helped fuel consumption.

It would appear that the improvements which were seen throughout the running in period are levelling off now that running in is largely complete. Once I am sure that running in has been completed, I will change the spark plugs for some units which are advertised as being state of the art high efficiency to deturmine whether or not further improvements are possible.

This bike is nearly run in now butnot quite. The engine still seems to be getting smoother and more free revving.

All journeys carried out quite carefully but always keeping up with the flow of traffic. One or two bursts of acceleration and sharp braking. Tried stopping the engine at red traffic lights to see if it made a significant difference.

Engine 'feels' significantly more loose and I suspect it is getting close to being fully run in.

A bit disappointed with fuel consumption but the engine still feels tight so some more running in is required.
