This may be the last fill-up I do for the Vice Wagen! The new Sport Wagen is scheduled to be here on the 24th. This has been a great car and will continue to be for whoever buys it. I wonder if they will want to continue the logging here.

This fill up is a bit off. I stopped in VT on fumes and looked at a $4.45 price tag! I put 3 gallons in to make it back to reality and still paid a little too much at $3.72... so I'm adding the two stops into one and averaging the cost and gallons and miles and all that. Also, the majority of this tank was used on interstate (about 450 miles) about half of which had three people and stuff (fishing trip)then the trip to Vermont into the mountains with heavy rain at times.

Dumb-ass! I slightly over-filled and spilled a little bit on the car. I was talking to a guy on the other side of the pump about Warren Haynes, Gov't Mule, Mt Jam, Gathering of the Vibes and sadly, the passing of Levon Helm today.

This fill is a bit skewed. When I pulled in to a station with an advertised 3.71 price I figured that was ok. However, as I pumped the first gallon the price was 3.79... so I went and asked the clerk and she informed me that because I had used my card the price was .08 cents more. I decided to say fuck that and left after pumping only .999 gallons and 3.79. I know it only comes out to about 1.14 more but it's the principle of the thing!

The racks were still on for most of this tank too. But I have them off, and the mileage seems to be coming back into range.

This and the previous fill up were used while the car had the roof racks on and carrying the kayak and a lot of gear and mostly two people in the car. There was a significant amount of interstate driving with the kayak, gear and passenger as well as some grid lock traffic.

This and the next few fill ups will be a bit skewed. I've had other people driving my car, so the mileage is probably going to be wacky. That coupled with a few long trips loaded with a kayak and roof racks on will make for some degraded mileage. Just did the entry for the first of non-me drivers. Someone else filled it and I'm sure they didn't fill it past the click off! The alarmingly high mileage will be brought back in line with one of the next fills.

A bunch of driving with AC on, driving with multiple people (went to lunch one day and had about 1/2 ton of dudes, 4 of us, in there!)Several fifty plus mile trips with 3 people... so mileage is probably not very good.
