Total kms - 74958km Lots of roadworks between Rolly and Halswell on SH1, for the Southern motorway extension, and on the back road for water supply pipelines. So lots of stop start either way.

Holiday driving around, with less soft pedalling, Fangs to Diamond Harbour andTaitapu, plus a three up trip over to the west coast. Strong overtaking, pushing in the bendy bits, but keeping to the 4kph tolerance on the cruise. Plus running a/c the whole time. Put in 18 litres in Greymouth to make sure we didn't run out on the way home.

Accumulated a bunch of discounts from fueling hire cars 41c/litre, plus 10c/litre BP discount - 51c/l total - saving $24 on a $98.38 fill up, happy as. Driving very quietly, parking at Moorhouse most of month, last week parking on Brougham and cycling across town. Easy as :-)

Fill up at end of drive back from Twizel. Less weight, but it did include a bit of a burn down the ohau canal road, and some spirited overtaking. But mostly cruising at 109kph

Fill up at Fairlie on way down to Twizel for HPEE course on Monday 10th. Driving around sat afternoon and Sunday morning to find dam building materials, and carrying a load of sand, gravel, boxes and buckets down to Twizel.
