Matt replaced the engine at 309,665, swapped the clutch, swapped the factory 5th gear for a taller .658, and did a bunch of other work to get it back up and running. Turns out a cam lobe grinded itself down so low, it was not engaging a valve (#2 was showing very low compression) - I told him to just swap out the engine prior to finding out about what happened, otherwise I would have just a rebuilt head thrown on with a timing belt job. Low fuel light came on at the base of the Grapevine, filled up with standard diesel in Valencia.
