After repairs in Michigan, it was time to correct damage. I took the transmission cover off of Crash and put it on Rocket because the old one was damaged. While there I took the headlight and put it on Rocket. Also oil and filter and new variator nut. Retorqued variator and clutch nuts.

Instability while riding caused me to take Rocket to Chris. He found the silent blocks to be well worn and replaced them. It turned out that they weren’t the problem, but good to have new ones anyway.

I went looking for a strange mechanical sound coming from, I think, behind the variator cover on Rocket. I changed the new rollers and adjusted some of the loose metal from the destroyed internal air deflector and found it to be a little quieter but still there. On Sunday I changed the oil and filter

Rocket blew out the spark plug last week. I reinserted it and it made it home. I tried tightening this weekend and found the head threads completely stripped. I am going to install the spare engine next week.

Replaced belt and variator after another nut loosening. This one caused some damage to the cover and maybe splines on the shaft.
