Taco XRS

2009 Toyota Matrix

L4 GAS

Property of ashfoot Added Feb 2012 Location: Portland, Oregon

Purchased on February 19th, 2012 with 34,850 miles on it. This is my first car and hopefully not my last but I know I'll be keeping it for quite some time!

Update: Traded Taco in for a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek. It was just past 87,000 miles and would need a new battery, new brakes, new transmission fluid, new brake fluid and new steering fluid. Decided not to spend the $1000+ to fix and got out even with dealer offering $7,500. Not bad, could have gotten more if I sold private party but ain't no one got time for that!

The additional aftermarket parts I got for Taco included these: wind deflectors, WeatherTech floor liners, Matrix emblem trunk carpet mat, Broadway rear view mirror, Plasti-dipped exterior emblems and interior accent pieces black, HID fog and headlights, 18% tint all around, and Pioneer NEX system.

It was a great car that took trips to Billings, Montana and Bend, Oregon. But it mostly commuted from Hillsboro to Portland daily. Taco stayed with me through my first pregnancy and my appendicitis. It has never left me stranded and I am grateful of that. Taco will be missed but I'm also glad to be upgrading to a similar sized car but much quieter and with AWD.

Automatic 2.4L engine with 18" rims, 6 speaker JBL system, sunroof, spoiler and roof rack.
