Had new (Pirelli Scorpion ATR) tyres installed on all the wheels immediately before fuelling. These are 225/75R16s, replacing the original 205R16 road tyres. Filled in 4 consecutive attempts, because the pump made me specify a fixed amount and the gauge had been reading 7/8ths when the tank was actually able to take almost 1/3 of its capacity. Stopped as soon as the pump cut out automatically the 4th time. The split fill should not make any difference, but the fuel economy will be artificially a bit low this time because last time I ended up underfilling the tank by maybe a couple of litres, due to similar issues at the pump. This will average out to the right amount when combined with the previous fill and allow me to start tracking fuel economy with the new tyres.
