Car sat for a longtime with presumed blown head gasket. Tore engine down, very gunky, new head gasket plus water pump/timing belt. MPG likely low…. Added premium for increased octane.

Just installed new platinum spark plugs, new air filter (old one was nearly black), and new fuel filter a few miles before early fill-up -- to accurately assess MPG with these replaced.

Cheney Sunoco 2nd fill home Chester WV. All highway driving 65-72 mph or so. Had carb cleaner added at prior fill. Ran Berryman B12 through carb partway home… lots of downshifting, hesitation/miss, some power loss cleared up along drive.
