Drilled out bad welds in firewall and installed high-strength stainless steel blind rivets (McMaster-Carr part 98778A525). Eliminated clicking noise when depressing the clutch pedal. Cost was $40 for 3/16" air hydraulic riveter from Harbor Freight, 21.82 for rivets and jobbers' drill bit.
