Battery sensor cable was corroded causing battery malfunction light to appear. Full 4 wheel alignment and rebalancing of all 4 tyres carried out to stop front vibration.

Non starter in morning. Breakdown called. Enough power in battery to turn on electrics and ancillaries but not enough to kick start engine. The battery was the cars original and had been in since new (over 5 years old and 58k miles completed). Replaced with a new battery at John Bull Motors, Stowmarket.

Alarm switch under bonnet - spacer fitted to stop the alarm going off when the car was parked in direct hot sunlight (FIXED UNDER WARRANTY) Heated door mirrors checked as I don't believe they work - "tested and correct" - no remedial action required. Engine software update carried out.
