Car brought to M'Lady Nissan: - What was thought to be a cooling issue due to somewhat sweet smell once car is warmed up. Also began to notice a small cloud of light smoke near passenger side headlight. Turned out to be an oil leak from the oil pan. A new plan and gasket was installed under warranty. - Oil change - Loose trim or missing fasteners along front belly pans and/or right side rocker. Several plastic fasteners were found to be missing and replaced under warranty. - Dealer re-attached loose carpet strap under drivers seat. - Transmission flash - "Enhanced Diagnostic Logic" for CVT done per NTB16-085.

At Jim M'Lady Nissan: - Oil and filter change - Brake system flush ($131.50) - Front collision sensors replaced. I had no problems but there is a TSB (NTB19-033)distance sensor where many folks are seeing a front collision error occurring while driving in inclement weather. The dealership preemptively replaced the distance sensor. - Clicking returned in the front left corner of the car upon changing heading of teh car from moving forward to backing up. Their technician claims that he found the noise were making noise due to excessive rust buildup. In addition the technician found that the rotors were slightly warped (.002" on R/F and .003" on L/F) so they resurfaced both brake rotors on a lathe to remove warping and rust buildup.

Front right tire has a slow air leak. Took to AutoTech Goodyear in Crustal Lake to repair. Had a rim leak. The cleaned the rim and tire bead where it mates with the rim. $36.87 for the repair.

Service at Jim M'Lady Nissan in Crystal Lake, IL... - Oil and oil filter change - Tire rotation - TSB number NTB12055 applied to address clicking noise coming from front left wheel hub. Here is the summary of the TSB which was done on both front hubs: Subject: SB Clicking Noise from Front or Rear Axle during Take-Off/Acceleration Summary of NTB12055: IF YOU CONFIRM: "Clicking" noise coming from either left or right front/rear CV-type axles during take-off/acceleration. ACTION: Apply Molykote M77 grease (P/N 44003-7S000) to the hub bearing surfaces. NOTE: * Do not remove the axle from the hub or transmission for this bulletin * Refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for model specific torque specifications. - For 2007-2017 Versa and 2013 LEAF vehicles, see the Service Procedure torque specifications on page 3. See this bulletin for further detail.
