I realized too late on a dark, lonely road that I was very, very out of gas. I thought I had a 13 gallon tank. Fortunately, I was wrong. Yay for hypermiling.

Gas coupons from Shaw's are excellent. Lowest price I've ever (or will probably) ever paid for premium. Too bad it comes with pathetic mileage. At least I got to use it on more than four gallons this time.

Pathetic mileage. But it's understandable: winter, much more city driving, more passengers, more small trips. Temporary change of lifestyle.

Under $2 for the first time ever. Pity I couldn't go a little farther (darn winter gas). I realize that snow and slush and such don't make for very fuel efficient driving though, so it's off to work we go.

My typical route has expanded at this time to include a 2 hour (each way) ride to Vermont. There's a nice cheap Irving station right on the border. But the "low" mileage is city driving.
