If you want "almost Prius" MPG in an "almost luxury" car, this is it! However, you do need to change your driving technique a bit and pay attention to how you drive. A very gentle touch around town will pay off big time. Lead-foot drivers will definitely pay the price. IMO Lincoln has totally hit a home run with the MKZ Hybrid AND Ford did NOT take any TARP funds! Oh and BTW, up to 55+ MPG around town on short, level trips.
