fuel consumption characteristically down due to servicing. They routinely refill with the (cheaper) alternative specification oil. 5/30 instead of 0/20. All they are prepared to tell me is that they are refilling with the recommended oil. They actually arent lying they just arent refilling with the preferred choice of oil.The annoying thing is, they do all this with a smile on their faces like they have had me over yet again and there's nothing I can do about it. This is being done by a Lexus dealership who are otherwise pretty good by comparison. By the way, the ambient has risen and so the fuel consumption should be in the 60s

confirmed that during the service , Lexus used the cheaper grade of oil ( 5 /30 rather than 0/20) The justification for this is that the manual states that 5/30 may be used if 0/20 isn't available. Funny how they run out of 0/20 when the prepaid services become due isnt it?

Fuel consumption unsurprisingly fell due to service: engine left to run without the car moving in order to warm the oil prior to draining, service personnel driving the car on a 60 mile round trip to collect and deliver the car and also adjusting tyre pressures back down the minimum recommended pressures during servicing rather than leaving pressures at maximum recommended pressures.The driving style and engine run pattern was confirmed by dash cam playback.
