Wytheville, VA to Waynesville, NC. Much cooler, in the 30's with snow flurries. This car doesn't get the higher MPG in cool weather. Same trip as a week ago (April 17th) that I had 48 mpg.

Wytheville, VA to Waynesville, NC. Cloudy and about 70 degrees for the drive. Didn't use A/C. Max speed of 65mph using cruise control but would speed up from time to time passing semi's. Noticed high of 52.3 MPG from on-board computer average about 120 miles into the tank. Nursed the tank a little bit trying to coast as much as traffic would allow. Did stop at a grocery store in Asheville so the tank had a little city driving. Drove in a hard rain the last 30 miles.

Driver first 100 miles - KB. Noticed that my wife gets 5-7 less MPG because she's much more aggressive with the gas and brake pedal. (She drives like an average driver in my opinion) The lack of coasting when you have to stop ahead was driving me nuts :-)
