to carthage via turnpike/i44/249 then old route 66 back home. had to push speed at or above 60 outbound, then babied snow back home @ 52 mph, to tug the trip mpg back up in to shape

to mo and back via 244/old 66/us60 then n on cc to hornet, mo86 to joplin. took back roads from joplin to neosho, river/reding/saginaw/v/tipton ford/old scenic along shoal creek into n end of town. mostly in fourth/third/fourth @ 1800 rpm. first and last hour with lights on. tires at 42 psi all around

top up before trip. poor mpg (worst ever) cause for concern, possible factors; temps have dropped, perhaps a 30 degree difference, between this and last fill. all city street driving, three short trips. this am left car idling for several minutes, and also at pump waiting, right rear brake drum may be dragging, and finally, all four tires needed 6 lbs air

joplin and back route variation, 244/169/266 then normal route old 66/mo43 and back. carrying @100 lb load on way home. caught in traffic in nw joplin at rush hour, brought mpg down at least a bit, my recent numbers are spoiling me. i am thinking mpg will dip soon as the temp does

home to northfork then homeward to ava via 412/ok82/ok20/mo90/mo76/160/mo181/mo14. mountainous all the way through. hit major storm front from east of noel to cape fair, urban traffic throughout the greater branson region with many stops. all this combined to bring mpg down
