Replaced all eight glow plugs with ACDelco 60Gs, which work great. The old plugs were all Autolites. Three were swollen but intact. Five had broken tips. None worked.

Oil and filter change. Hopefully solved the leak from drain plug (had no washer previously, and I used Aviation Permatex). (Edit: yes, it fixed the leak!)
