Tired of spending tons of money on a car and then tons more fixing it, I went back to the right way of doing things and bought something incredibly cheap.

It cost $500. The insurance is barely $50 a month. It gets 35-40MPG highway. I've driven it over 30,000 miles with mostly just regular maintenance. I think I did pretty good.

Unfortunately, at the beginning of February 2015, the transmission started to go bad, and as of March 3, 2015, it lost all forward gears after trying to push another car into a snow-filled driveway. Many of its parts, mainly the bulletproof engine, will go into the 1996 Escort wagon that was supposed to replace it, until the engine blew up.
