Best MPG? After I bought the car the engine lacked torque but returned amazing fuel economy. UNTIL one cold morning it was not giving me much power and was hesitating to start up the hill. (I was only going 15 mph and needed power so I gave it a lot more on the gas pedal. Suddenly it sounded like something broke inside the engine and it changed into a vortex inside the engine with air and gas pouring in and the power suddenly came on. Before then I had never floored it. I figured I popped her virginity but I've always wondered what happened inside the engine that day and why the mileage suddenly dropped and never got better. I did drive around like it was being held back but damn.. sometimes I wish it would give better mileage.

Drive in cruise control on the freeway, coast to red lights, avoid side streets during traffic jams (stop lights/signs cause too much idle and lowers MPG by 10-15%) and stopping itself requires accelerating and again a hit on fuel economy).
